| For over 25 years, Northlands
has been helping individuals, families and communities to understand
and deal with the many things that contribute to problems with alcohol
and drug use in their individual situations.
In its origins, Northlands owed much to the energy, enthusiasm and
commitment of early volunteers. Over the years, more has been contributed
by volunteers than could be measured. In 1995-96 we decided to establish
a volunteer team and make it a more structured and permanent feature
of our work. |

| Northlands intends to recruit volunteers on a regular basis through the local press and in accordance with Fair Employment and Equal Opportunities legislation. All prospective volunteers will be interviewed to establish what work they wish to carry out, including their skills, experience and suitability and how best their potential might be realized. | ||
